ORDINANCE NO. 87
AN ORDINANCE PERTAING TO THE REGULATION OF

PUBLIC AND PRIVATE TARGET RANGES AND REPEALING

PORTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 57

 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANT ORDAINS:

Section 1. Background.

a. On April 2, 1985, the Board of Supervisors for the Town of Grant adopted Ordinance No. 57 regulating the use of firearms and weapons in the Town of Grant.
 
 
    1. Sections 3 and 4 of Ordinance No. 57 established certain criteria and guidelines for public and private target ranges.
    2. The City Council finds that Sections 3 and 4 of Ordinance No. 57 should not be applied to private and public target ranges that were in existence as of April 2, 1985.
    3. The purpose of this Ordinance is to repeal portions of Section of Ordinance 57, and Section 4 of Ordinance No. 57.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 57 is amended by repealing Section 3, paragraphs c and, d, and Section 4 in its entirety.

Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
