ORDINANCE COMBINING THE OFFICES OF THE CLERK AND TREASURER IN THE CITY

follows:
Section 1: Combined Clerk Treasurer.The offices of the City Clerk and Treasurer are hereby combined.
Section 2: Term of office.The Clerk-Treasurer shall be appointed by the City Council for a term beginning on the 1st Monday of January in each year until a successor Clerk-Treasurer is sworn in to take the office.The appointment shall be made at the first meeting in January of each year.
Section 3.Resignation or Termination.The City Council shall appoint a Clerk-Treasurer upon the resignation, termination or expiration of the term of the Clerk-Treasurer.
Section 4.Compensation.The City Council shall determine the compensation to be paid to the Clerk-Treasurer based upon the duties and job description for the position.
Section 5.Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and is in force from and after its passage and publication.
