Ordinance No. 19

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 10 of the Town of Grant adopting model zoning regulations code for communities in Washington County and regulating the use of land, location and use of buildings, subdividing said town into zones and providing penalties for violation thereof.

The Town Board of Supervisors of the Town of Grant does hereby ordain as follows:

Section 1. The first sentence of Section 3.02© agricultural use is hereby amended to read as follows:

"An area of five (5) contiguous acres or more which is used for the production of farm crops such as vegetables, fruit trees, grain and other crops and their storage on the area as well as for the raising of farm poultry and domestic and non-domestic farm animals such as horses, cattle, sheep, and swine."

Section 2. The last sentence of Section 3.02(D) agricultural use is hereby amended to read as follows:

"It shall not include the raising of non-domestic animals and shall prohibit the raising of bees and poultry."

Section 3. The last sentence of Section 7.01 "A" agricultural district is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Single family residential structures provided the site is at least three (3) acres."

Section 4. Section 7.01 "SFR" single family rural district is hereby amended by deleting the second sentence thereof.

Section 5 Penalties. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall do any forbidden act or fail to perform any act required by this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed $100 or by imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days.

Section 6. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
